In God's Hands
Hello!!
Another Day comes to an end!!
Do you want to hear the good news or bad news?
Today; I went to the doctor and found out that my kidneys shutting down. My entire body is swelling and my legs feel like they are going to explode. My gastroparesis has made my diabetes go haywire and it cannot be controlled at this point. .
I take my medications and insulin religiously but something always comes up. What can you do though?
I'm so used to hearing bad news that I'm numb to it now; it is almost scary.
It's in God's Hands.
I have appointments with hematologist-oncologists, endocrinologists, rheumatologists, and Neurologists and I'm exhausted!
GOOD NEWS
My son is home and getting used to the new routine, which has been well for the most part. He had one outburst but is trying to fight the medications but can't. He hasn't been this calm and collected in a long time. He got home about 10pm last night and I put my gloves on and got to work.
I clipped fingernails and toes. Cut his hair and oiled his newly shaven head. Treated any scars or marks. He enjoyed a long shower and I moisturized his skin afterwards. I got him comfortable and he was still really relaxed from his meds so I went to bed and told him that he will see his new things on today.
He loved his new notebooks, dinosaur stickers, and toy Jeep.
The girls were glad that he is back home and they didn't know how to approach him so I got them to come into my room and Andri asked him if she could hug him and he said yes and Mia came up shortly after. KeKe and Jay are still working through their communications and relationship. Our family therapy is helping and we'll continue to do what we do since he's back.
I'm really feeling horrible but it's almost bedtime and I need a little time to reflect and mediate on my next steps.
Thank you for reading.
