Jay's Journey Update: A Turning Point

I received an update from Jay today, and I couldn't be more proud of the progress he's making. He arrived at the new facility in Atlanta around 1:30 pm, and the staff was kind enough to let him call me.

During our conversation, Jay sounded nervous, but I could sense a glimmer of excitement beneath the surface. When I asked if he was excited, he replied with a cautious "Yes ma'am." I reassured him that everything would be okay, and he seemed to relax a bit.

What struck me most was Jay's nervousness.

Last year, when he was escorted to the RYDC, he seemed detached from reality, and it was heartbreaking to witness.((No emotions at all))

But today, his nervousness was a sign of growth and awareness. He's been working hard, taking his medications, getting enough sleep, and learning new things.

This facility marks the final step before Jay returns home to our family. I'm eagerly anticipating our future together and celebrating the progress he's made along the way.

Next week, on my birthday, I'll be meeting the team caring for Jay at a meet and greet event. I'm looking forward to learning more about the wonderful people supporting Jay on his journey.

✨️For now, I'm basking in the joy of seeing Jay grow and thrive. Thank you for joining me on this journey and for your continued support. ✨️
