Day In The Life: Balancing Art

Today was a whirlwind of activity, to say the least. I didn't get much sleep last night due to some lingering discomfort from my C-section scar - a surprise, considering Mia is turning 5 in just a week!
Despite the fatigue, I jumped at the chance to pick up a shift at work when a person didn't show up. Stocking shelves proved to be a calming task, but dealing with customers was a different story. The rudeness and impatience I encountered left me questioning my decision to return to customer-facing work. However, I'm on a mission to stay focused and motivated.
On the academic front, I've been working diligently on my projects. I feel accomplished to have submitted a major assignment just a few minutes ago, and I'm already tackling the next one, due on Monday. I've completed the outline and plan to finish the project tomorrow before the Super Bowl kicks off.
Speaking of which, I'm excited to host the party for my family. I've got a delicious spread planned, featuring BBQ meatballs and smokies, BBQ sausages, chips and dip, and a special punch recipe.
As I reflect on the past 24 hours, I'm reminded that staying busy has been a lifesaver. Despite the exhaustion that comes with juggling work, school, and motherhood, I've found that keeping my mind engaged has helped me cope with negative thoughts.
✨️Here's to staying focused, motivated, and committed to being the best version of myself!✨️
