Embracing Resilience

As I welcomed the new year, I had no idea what lay ahead. On New Year's Eve, I set clear boundaries with those I wanted in my life, expressing my needs and expectations. Unfortunately, the night ended in a heated argument, leaving me feeling disrespected and disappointed. The following day, I realized I couldn't pretend everything was fine; I needed distance.
As a disabled individual, I've learned to adapt and persevere. I take care of my household, manage bills, and prioritize my children's well-being. I've always been driven to provide for my family, even in the toughest times. When we faced homelessness, my children never knew the extent of our struggles. That's the kind of resilience I've instilled in them.
Since 2025 began, I've faced numerous challenges, but my children have witnessed my determination to rise above. They've seen me navigate terminal illness, wheelchair confinement, and the devastating loss of their sister. They've endured my breakup, their brother's arrests, and countless other trials. Yet, despite it all, they've retained their childhood innocence.
✨️For that, I'm incredibly proud. My children haven't been forced to grow up too quickly or lose the magic of their youth. As their mother, there's no greater gift I could ask for.✨️
