Jay's Journey Continues. . .

I'm taking a moment to share a difficult update about Jay. Despite our best efforts, he continues to struggle with incidents that are not only hurtful but also alarming. Last night was another tough night, and I'm still trying to process everything that happened.

Jay had an incident that resulted in a staff member getting hurt. I'm deeply saddened by this, and my heart goes out to the staff member who was injured. This incident has left me feeling worried and concerned about Jay's future.

As a parent, it's heartbreaking to see your child struggle, especially when it feels like you've tried everything. Every time I receive a call or email from the facility, my heart stops. I'm scared that Jay will do something that will have serious consequences, and it's a constant worry that I carry with me.

I want to be clear that I'll never give up on Jay or any of my children. I've learned that each of them needs a unique approach to parenting, and I've adapted my style to meet their individual needs. However, Jay's situation is complex, and it's clear that we need to find new solutions.

The doctors have shared their assessment that Jay's behavior is more a result of his choices rather than his mental health. While this information is helpful, it's also heartbreaking. It means that we can't simply attribute his behavior to his mental health struggles, and instead, we need to confront the reality of his actions.

Jay's logic is troubling - he's said that if he gets what he wants, he won't have to hurt anyone. The team has said that they're not going to give up on him yet but I feel it in my bones that he'll have to go back to the detention center.

I'm not sure what the future holds for Jay, but I do know that this year will be a turning point. We'll be exploring new options and strategies to help him get on track. I'll continue to share updates on our journey, and I appreciate your support and understanding.

Thanks for reading, and I'll be back with more updates soon.
