#Morning Madness: Parenting a House Full of Girls
...
...
I've just finished putting the girls on the bus, and I'm still trying to catch my breath. As they've grown older, I thought mornings would get easier. But nope, every day is a reset, and we're back to square one.
This morning was no exception. Mia needed to find another teddy bear to take to school (because, priorities!), and then she insisted on wearing her boots instead of her tennis shoes. Meanwhile, Keke woke up on the wrong side of the bed and gave me attitude when I reminded her to do her chores (which, of course, she hadn't done the night before). That earned her a spot on the "no after-school program" list today.
Andri's been displaying some major attitude lately too. But here's the thing: I don't tolerate disrespect in our household. It doesn't matter how old they are; respect is non-negotiable. I'm raising my girls to be strong, independent women, and that starts with teaching them to treat others with kindness and respect.
It's not always easy, but someone's gotta do it. And I'd rather it be me, now, than someone else later. So, bring on the morning madness – I'm ready for whatever the day throws our way!✨️✨️
