Finding Strength in the Chaos
The uncertainty of court dates isn't helping, but I'm trying to stay focused on the present. On a positive note, my health has been great since my toe surgery. However, today was a setback - I experienced a seizure, and unfortunately, I've lost feeling on my left side. It's been tough, but I'm adapting, and my trusty wheelchair and sling are helping me stay on top of things.
Despite the challenges, I managed to cook a delicious spaghetti and pizza dinner for my family. Now, I'm taking a well-deserved rest, praying that the feeling in my left side returns soon. I have to go back to work next week, and I'm determined to make that happen. I'm aware that stress can be a silent killer, and I'm committed to finding ways to manage it and prioritize my well-being.

I'm relieved to see Jay making progress. While he still has his moments of frustration and tantrums, the hospital staff has gotten to know him and understands how to support him effectively. It's reassuring to know they've figured out what works best for him.
Jay was excited to receive the gifts we sent last week, and he's eagerly anticipating his next package. As for me, I'm missing him terribly, but I'm trying to stay strong when we communicate. I don't want him to sense my sadness and have a setback.

I'm beaming with pride - Andri made the AB honor roll! Her hard work and dedication are truly paying off, and I couldn't be more proud to see her excel.
As my children grow older, I've made it a priority to spend quality one-on-one time with each of them. These individual dates allow them to open up and express themselves freely, without the influence of their siblings. It's been incredibly rewarding, and I'm grateful for the bond we're strengthening through these special moments. Prayer has also been a powerful source of guidance and support in our journey together.

I had a wonderful meeting with Mia's teachers yesterday, and I'm thrilled to report that she's thriving in school! They described her as "perfect" - music to my ears!
As someone who homeschooled my children before they started traditional school, it's amazing to see Mia excel. She hit the ground running, and her strong foundation has served her well.
Mia's teachers and classmates adore her, and it's no surprise why - she's a bright and bubbly personality with a flair for drama. She's such a unique and special child, and I often joke that she should have her own TV show!

Keke is growing up, and her teenage years are certainly making their presence known. As she navigates friendships and peer influence, I'm seeing her assert her independence more and more.
At times, her attitude can be tough to handle, but we're working through it together. I'm relying on prayer to guide me through these moments. Having experienced similar dynamics with my own sister, I understand that it's a normal part of growth, but it's different when it's your own child.
Keke is an intelligent, beautiful, and capable young lady, but she's still learning to think for herself and find her own voice. Her grades have been inconsistent, and it's frustrating, but I'm committed to continuing to support and guide her until she finds her footing.
