I'm not gonna lie, this morning was rough. I dragged myself to work with a fever and a throbbing, bleeding toe.🤒🦶🏾 But I wasn't about to let it get in the way of my job. 💁🏾‍♀️🤑

As soon as I clocked out, I picked up my mama and we headed to Hawkinsville for my procedure I scheduled this morning. The doctor gave me two options: either remove the whole toenail to cut out the infection and hope it grows back okay, or take off both sides of the toe.

I chose option one, but I was seriously nervous. Here's the thing: my body doesn't numb well, and it's been a major issue in my life. 💉

I'm not gonna sugarcoat it - I was terrified when the doctor started explaining the procedure. My fever was still raging, and the thought of more pain was almost too much to bear. But the doctor was knowledgeable and reassuring, which helped calm my nerves a bit.

The procedure itself was very uncomfortable and my pain went level went off the charts. 📈 😭 

I'm just glad it's over and the infected nail is gone. Now, I'm paying the price -- I'm in a lot of pain but I've taken my meds and the antibiotics are helping, but it's so TIME TO HEAL.❤️‍🩹

💫For now, I'm going to listen to my body and take it easy. I'm planning to rest for the next couple of days and aim to be back on my feet by Thursday. It's not going to be easy, but I'm determined to get through this like everything else. 💫
